We are currently recruiting for a talented, motivated and ambitious customer care Coordinator to join our growing team in Solihull.

Role definition

Summary of role

Support the customer care manager across Construction Midlands area of operations. Develop specific skills and knowledge as appropriate, enforcing compliance, delivering customer and community excellence.

Responsibilities and accountabilities

Prior to project completion, arrange and attend customer briefing meetings to explain the customer care process and agree the reporting/notification procedures.

Provide training on the Morgan Sindall customer care procedures to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.

Assist with resolving customer complaints.

Manage/maintain electronic defects management system.

Coordinate all aspects of third party interfaces relating to inspection and correction of building defects - including building occupiers, client’s team, design team, sub-contractors, suppliers and the like.

Ensure visibility on all sites to support the customer care manager and promote best practice across all projects.

Work closely with the customer care manager to monitor the making good of defects and produce status reports for each project and summary reports.

Produce reports and statistics that assist with customer care benchmarking and performance management.

Ensure customer experience questionnaires are completed in a timely manner and shared with wider business.

Engage with third party stakeholders regarding all customer related matters.

Qualifications, training and technical knowledge

Educated to GCSE level including maths and English.

Intermediate level training/ability in using Microsoft Excel.

Intermediate level training/ability in using Microsoft Word.

Attributes and skills

Customer facing experience preferred but not essential.

Experience of working with databases and generating reports.

Excellent communication and PR skills.

Good organisational and time management skills.

Able to work as part of a team but also use own initiative when necessary.

Confident communication and persuasive manner.

Able to work well as part of a team and with all kinds of customer.

Demonstrate approachability and be seen as credible.

Able to quickly build strong working relationships with people at all levels.

Confidence when working autonomously.

Ability to manage a given list of tasks.

Good knowledge of construction practices and standards.

Good writing, analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to handle difficult situations and problems.

Know when to ask for help and guidance.
