We are looking for an Operational  Risk and Compliance Manager to work for a forward thinking Financial Group

Working within their  Treasury department you will be primarily responsible for Compliance monitoring incorporating Compliance risk assessment, Breach Management and the embedding of a risk mindset across the business and delivery of compliance monitoring following the changes to the structural reform regulation.

You will need to ensure that the risk and control environment is accurately documented and tested and to be the first line for risk queries and delivering improvements for ring-fencing as required. You will also be required to investigate risk events in connection to Operations/Compliance breaches and produce monthly updates to help to inform business decisions.

With your deep understanding of operational risk and  Compliance and regulatory risk, you will be confident in your ability to build credibility and strong relationships within the business and with other stakeholders.  You will also be able to demonstrate strong business /Commercial compliance skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines and the strength to challenge the business and deliver solutions.

This is a key role and as such we are looking for candidates with :

  • Audit /1st line Monitoring experience
  • Knowledge of corporate treasury and complex products, securitisations, capital issuance and hedging structures – capital markets
  • Part/full professional qualification or aptitude to achieve one
  • Good communicator
  • Excellent IT skills and attention to detail
  • Up to date knowledge of the PRA/FCA requirements, relevant policy developments and a general awareness of  global regulatory developments
