We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our talented International Team in Holborn on a permanent basis. The Senior Buyer will report into the Head of Trading. The principal objective of this role is to deliver maximum sales and profitability through determining the offers we make to our customers and successfully managing both the trading activities and profit and loss.
What you'll do:
As the Senior Buyer you will be accountable for growing and developing new areas of business and identifying strategic growth opportunities for our General Merchandise category across our international territories for centrally bought ranges. You will manage our supplier relationships, building strategic relationships with the biggest global brands in the industry to negotiate great deals, working closely with UK and International teams.
To succeed, you'll need to inspire your team to deliver your trading goals, engaging and motivating them to help deliver your strategies. You'll also need to keep abreast of market trends, customer requirements and competitor activities to ensure our fingers are on the pulse of any new commercial opportunities. Using your analytical skill set you'll analyse the range, ensuring an appropriate customer offer and with commercial thinking and ingenuity, you'll create new categories, ranges, appropriate pricing and sales-boosting strategies.

Who we're looking for:
You'll be at Senior Buyer level or Buyer level looking for a step up with experience in a similar General Merchandise or FMCG category within the retail, hospitality or convenience retail market. You'll have a background in developing and delivering results within your category and have excellent commercial acumen to interpret the market quickly. You will be a recognised leader, who not only engages and motivates their team, but develops them also. We're looking for someone who is creative, but also commercial, with a head for figures, as this area's data-driven. Knowledge of Profit & Loss and supplier management is essential. If you're analytical, calm and articulate, you could be the ideal fit.
