Responsible for:

Supporting the delivery of the HR strategy by providing support to the HRBPs, Reward Manager and Operations team.   Assisting with HR Projects across all areas.

Overall Job Purpose:

  • Provide support to the HR business partners
  • Develop a good understanding of the business functions to enable effective support of each area
  • Act as a port of call in to HR for queries and administration
  • Support across the HR teams to become a strong HR Generalist

Apprenticeship Details:

  • Study for Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship through Arch Apprentices
  • 80% of time (32 hours per week) is “on the job” learning with flexible working hours and the option to work from home once the initial training period is completed
  • 20% of time (8 hours per week) is “off the job” learning spent learning online, with a coach and through some classroom sessions towards the qualification

Main responsibilities:

HR Projects

  • Support project management of various HR projects including Employee Wellbeing, Reward & Recognition, Employee survey deployment & analysis, Salary Benchmarking, Diversity, CSR etc.

HR Operations

  • Assist with line manager and employee queries on HR policies and processes, answering questions face to face or via phone and email
  • Maintain the ‘Line Manager Guides’ section of the company intranet
  • Review current HR policies and processes
  • Support HR Operations in administering guidance and advice to employees and line managers as requested on processes and policies
  • Note take in employee/line manager meetings

Reward & Performance

  • Support Benchmarking, analysis & reporting as required
  • Provide support to the Reward Manager on the annual benefits renewal process
  • Maintain relationships with key benefits providers and provide information on benefits to employees when needed
  • Support performance review activity, helping to train managers on the review process to achieve high quality review delivery standards, if required


  • Assist with Future Talent recruitment, including preparation of assessment days and involvement in the selection process



  • Work experience in a customer facing role


  • Will have some good generalist HR work experience in a fast-moving business.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and requirements

•      Works at pace through a high volume of work, balancing immediate requests and project work, often with limited supervision

•      Takes personal responsibility for delivering on time and accurate work and can work to tight deadlines when required

  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office stack, particularly Excel
