Part-time Business Support Co-ordinator

Salary: £17,941 per annum pro-rata (equivalent to £14,352.80 for part time hours)

Leeds Mail Centre, Leeds, LS10 1AZ

Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions (PFS) are recruiting now for a Business Support Co-ordinator to provide professional support to the engineering teams within Royal Mail PFS. You’ll embrace general administrative tasks and coordination to enable operational requirements to run smoothly.

About you

As a Business Support Co-ordinator, you’ll be involved in general administration, basic project coordination, financial reconciliation / queries and dealing with general customer enquiries. Working independently, you’ll effectively plan and prioritise workloads, providing assistance to other team members as required. You’ll work in a structured and tidy manner, observing all relevant health and safety legislation and Royal Mail PFS operating procedures and standards. Liaising with both customers and the public in a professional fashion, you’ll project a positive company image.

You’ll update systems, and liaise with both managers and customers on the status of projects or work, ensuring both are fully aware of progress. Promoting a ‘right first time’ approach, you’ll have the ability to balance priorities and workload, ensuring customer objectives are achieved and contractual obligations met. You’ll also work closely with the Business Support Team, Business Support Manager and Engineering Teams.

Shift patterns: This is a part-time role for 30 hours per week. Shifts can spread across either four or five days, to be agreed at the point of offer.

About the role

With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll have a professional telephone manner, and the ability to keep customers and colleagues informed on progress and outcomes. A natural team player, you’ll build effective relationships with colleagues, with a willingness to share your knowledge and experience. Eager to succeed, you’ll be committed to personal development.

Experienced in an administrative environment, you’ll be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Enthusiastic and committed to the task in hand, you’ll understand the impact of your actions on the business and remain calm under pressure. In addition, you’ll act as a role model for safety, setting positive examples to peers.
